Indeed, conducive to the diminishing rate of air accidents over the past fifteen years, the trend was bolstered in 2012 with a comparatively lower figure of 23 fatal airliner accidents, amassing to 475 fatalities plus a further 36 on the ground.

FL Technics completes a series of landing gear deals worth over €1million

FL Technics, a global provider of integrated aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, successfully expands its landing gear activities by closing a recent set of deals worth over €1million.  Launched as a separate division in the beginning of 2012, FL Technics Landing Gear has successfully conducted during the year a number of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 landing gear sales deals with clients from Europe, Russian and the CIS.

FL Technics Training: the need to re-skill the existing workforce in the CIS region

Despite the remarkable growth of air traffic in Russia and across the CIS the regional air transportation system is yet to see major changes. Russian airports serviced 112.4 million passengers in 2011, which is 12.9 per cent more than in 2010. At the same time Boeing forecasts that air traffic to and from the CIS region will grow at a rate of 4.7 per cent annually.
