FL Technics in 2016: growing revenue accompanied by increasing diversification

FL Technics, a global provider of one-stop-shop aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, has announced its yearly business review, displaying a stable, over 20% growth in revenues as well as continuing service and geographical diversification. 

Bouncing back from bankruptcy of a major client and a financial backdrop in the year 2015, FL Technics has managed to maintain the rise in revenue numbers over the year 2016, as well as trigger a jump in net profit (from a loss of 11 million EUR in 2015 to a profit of almost 3 million EUR in 2016). The numbers were mainly affected by the company’s growing operations in Asia Pacific, new clientele as well as LEAN business process optimization.

EASA certifies FL Technics for Airbus A330 Base and Line Maintenance

FL Technics, a global provider of tailor-made aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, announced having successfully introduced Base and Line Maintenance services for wide-body aircraft – Airbus A330. The company expanded its EASA Part 145 certificate on 22nd of February, 2017.  The expanded EASA Part 145 approval allows FL Technics to conduct a wider range of maintenance works on Airbus A330, powered with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. Airbus A330 base maintenance services will be provided at FL Technics’ MRO center at Kaunas International Airport, Lithuania. Previously in 2016, FL Technics introduced Continuous Airworthiness Management support for Airbus A330 operators.

FL Technics opens third Line Maintenance station in Georgia

FL Technics, a global provider of one-stop-shop aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, is delighted to announce the opening of a new line maintenance station at Batumi International Airport (BUS). With the opening of the third location, FL Technics now has ground presence in all of Georgia’s international airports.  New line maintenance station is equipped to service the most popular Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG aircraft types. FL Technics first and main customer in Batumi is the long-standing best airline in Europe – Turkish Airlines. However, the geographical location of the station makes it convenient for airlines from surrounding regions, mainly, the Middle East and especially during the summer season.

FL Technics Indonesia launches Base Maintenance services, welcomes first Boeing 737 NG

FL Technics, a global provider of one-stop-shop aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, has announced that its subsidiary – FL Technics Indonesia – had launched Base Maintenance (BM) services in its facilities at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The first Boeing 737 has already reached the MRO center for a C-Check. Following the receipt of the Indonesian DGCA’s base maintenance approval earlier in January 2017, FL Technics Indonesia welcomed its first base maintenance customer – Batik Air. The Indonesian carrier’s Boeing 737-800 will undergo a comprehensive set of C-Check works which are due to be finished in early February.

FL Technics Indonesia signs MoU with Indonesia’s GMF AeroAsia

FL Technics, a global provider of one-stop-shop aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, has announced that its subsidiary – FL Technics Indonesia – had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMF AeroAsia, one of Asia Pacific’s largest MRO companies. The memorandum entails cooperation in aircraft maintenance, spare parts supply and other areas.  Under the agreement, the companies will share best practices in MRO process management, customs clearance and new market development, as well as support each other with spare part supply, component repair, engineering and other services. In addition, FL Technics Indonesia and GMF AeroAsia will support each other during peak seasons in order to ensure smooth and timely service of their customers.

FL Technics officially opens its MRO centre in Jakarta, welcomes first customers

FL Technics, a global provider of one-stop-shop aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, has announced the official opening of its MRO hangar at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, Indonesia. FL Technics Indonesia has also reached cooperation agreements with ten Asian airlines.   The newly opened 9 000 sq. m. facility accommodates up to 3 narrow-body aircraft at a time and is certified to service Boeing 737 NG and CL, as well as Airbus A319/A320/A321. FL Technics Indonesia’s team starts its operations with aircraft line maintenance while base maintenance services are to be introduced in 2017.  “After renovating and upgrading the facilities according to European standards, we finally have a modern MRO centre, located in the heart of Indonesia.
